About

Our Family. Our Ranch. Our Beef.
At W5 Beef, ranching is our family’s way of life. We’re Travis and Samantha Walch, proud fifth-generation cattle ranchers with family roots in Jackson County Oregon. Today, we carry on that tradition in Klamath County, Oregon alongside our three children—Timber, Clayton, and Wyatt. Our whole family is hands-on, sharing the work, responsibility, and pride that come with raising cattle.
Behind every package of W5 Beef are early mornings, long days, and nights when the work doesn’t end at sundown. It’s checking cows every two hours during calving season, helping a calf into the world during a snowstorm, and making sure newborns are warm and nursing. It’s feeding cattle through winter, tending pastures, irrigating fields, fixing fences, and caring for our animals in every season.
Ranch life brings challenges—from drought and unpredictable weather to rising feed and fuel costs—but it also gives us moments we wouldn’t trade for anything. Watching a newborn calf stand for the first time, turning cattle onto spring pasture, and working together as a family remind us why we love what we do.
Through W5 Beef, we’re proud to offer locally raised, grain-finished beef and give our community a connection to the family behind their food. We believe the care we put into our cattle matters, and we carry that responsibility from the ranch to the beef we offer your family.
When you choose W5 Beef, you support a family, generations of ranching knowledge, and the daily work that keeps that tradition alive. Thank you for making our beef part of your family’s table.
